The unpredictable and uneven nature of access requests meant that LinkedIn were forced to choose between having team members who weren’t fully utilised during quiet periods or over utilising highly skilled staff to complete review work during peak periods, risking burn out or losing focus on higher value work.
The sensitivity of the data in question meant that use of unskilled generalists from other departments or from traditional temporary resourcing sources created an unacceptable risk to the organisation and an unsustainable demand on the core team for quality review and rework.
LinkedIn already had a review platform in place along with a highly qualified eDiscovery technologist so vendors with proprietary platforms were not able to support their needs.

Johnson Hana invested time working with LinkedIn’s team to understand their existing operational and legal processes. From here, the team prepared a dedicated playbook and process guide for review and approval by the LinkedIn team to document how DSARs can be delivered when required. This document ensured consistency of approach across all reviews.
The dedicated Johnson Hana project manager was already familiar with the technology in place in LinkedIn and worked with their technical lead to ensure the Johnson Hana team could leverage these tools when required.
The team then awaited requests from LinkedIn and when required, activated the required number of preapproved and trained consultants to complete the review to required timelines.
